Greetings. My Name is Saul Rubin. I am a musician, artist, producer and seeker of truth. I am very concerned about the future of the human race. In these bizarre times of political, technological and military upheaval there are so many seeming insurmountable problems and no solutions for peace.
All people need the same things, air, water, food, shelter, to raise their families in good health and to die in a natural peaceful way. There is however a very small group of people who want to hoard everything for themselves at the expense of others. There is no doubt there are evil people in the world who are very powerful. They are liars who will say anything to get what they want . They use deceptive tactics to control and exploit the people of the earth. We need to counteract the effects of this evil, find the common good in humanity and see that we are almost all basically the same regardless of race, religion or ethnicity.
Our parents, teachers, clergy and communities have a profound influence over who we love, who we hate, what we fear and what is the truth. The people we love and who love us are responsible for what we believe. Many people believe things that are actually untrue but will risk their lives for these beliefs.
This film project consists of interviews of people all asked the same 9 questions.
What is your religion or belief system? What is your race, ethnicity, nationality? Who / what do you love? Who / what do you hate? Who / what do you fear? What kind of music do you like? What are your political views and affiliations? What are your earliest recollections about race, religion and ethnicity? Do you believe everything you’ve learned is true?
We need to consider the effects of modern politics, religion, technology and media have on our children and start to bring the truth back into their realities. Sounds idealistic? It is, but if we don’t start this dialogue I fear mankind will cause its own extinction.
